Small Willow Foraging Bag with Hemp Strap 1 day course with Joe Gregory – Sunday 1st September 2024

Over the day you will learn to weave basket weaving techniques to create a small willow foraging bag with an organic hemp strap.

With a simple border and hemp strap this basket will be quicker and easier to make than a traditional shopping basket.

Ideal for foraging mushrooms, herbs and berries this handsome basket is also very functional!

I’ve been developing this idea for a while, something that is achievable in a day and something to be proud that you’ve made. As well as the weaving you’ll make your own strap from organic hemp and brass fittings.

Come alone and meet other crafty folk or come with a friend or two for a special day together.

The willows tea and coffee house on the ground floor of the building will be open during the course for the finest ethical rainforest alliance coffee, teas, award-winning cakes and simple savouries.

Notes:

No prior experience needed but you must have good mobility in hands & feet & be able to stand whilst working.

Please wear old (non dangly) clothes, covered toe shoes (no sandals) & little or no jewellry.
