“Hello I’m Anthea Thornber the Course Tutor. I have a garden nestled in the hills of the Pennines providing a beautiful natural habitat for wildlife and a peaceful space. I grow a range of flowers which I cut and dry at home, along with a variety of foliage and grasses which are foraged from the local woodland and fields. You can find me @thesecretgarden.yorkshire”

During the workshop we will be using a traditional willow weaving method to create a wreath ring up to 10inches wide. I will then introduce you to a selection of delicate dried flowers and foliage from last season’s collection and demonstrate the floristry techniques to attach them to create a lovely wreath to adorn your home.

This is a creative process which allows everyone to produce a unique and beautiful wreath, pick up some tips and techniques which I have learned over the years and relax in a friendly and productive environment.

We aim to be eco caring in our methods and materials and it’s an opportunity to learn about alternatives to more commonly used materials that may be harmful to our planet. With wreaths the possibilities are endless so come and enjoy exploring what’s possible. All
