Perfect for the explorers amongst us, why not come and learn to make your own leather Travellers Satchel. Working in resilient, ruggedly smelling, oiled cowhide. notice the slight whiskey-tan colour variation – your opportunity to create a unique bag, ready for anything!

Large enough to fit all the essentials plus your maps or binoculars, but neat enough to fit snugly against your hip under or over your outer garments.

From selecting your individual piece of leather, cutting patterns and straps to saddle stitching, you will be taken through all of the different stages of creating your own satchel, and finish with a beautiful and individual satchel that will gain character and patina as it ages.

Small, friendly course suitable for beginners and improvers with lots of individual attention, all materials and tools provided.

The willows tea and coffee house on the ground floor of the building will be open during the course for the finest ethical rainforest alliance coffee, teas, award-winning cakes and simple savouries.

Notes:

No prior experience needed but you must have good mobility in hands & feet & be able to stand whilst working.

Please wear old (non dangly) clothes, covered toe shoes (no sandals) & little or no jewellry.
