Learn how to make the round form of this style of stunning contemporary basket using tension weaving and beautiful bindings. Originating from Spain, this basket is formed in a very different way from our traditional English stake and strand baskets- each one is a very unique creation based upon your choice of willow, the number of weavers you choose to use and the tension you put into the basket.

Working in white, buff, and or brown willow, you can create endless options on pattern and colour.

You will also explore bindings, fastenings and decorative cutting to enhance your creation.

A great basket for beginners or those with some basketry experience who want to learn something different!

Notes:

No prior experience needed but you must have good mobility in hands & feet & be able to stand whilst working.

Please wear old (non dangly) clothes, covered toe shoes (no sandals) & little or no jewellry.
