Flower Basket Course with Joe Gregory – Saturday 21st and Sunday 22nd June 2025

This course is suitable for those with some weaving experience.

I’ve been developing this course for a while. A basket that is both beautiful and useful. It will make collecting your home grown cut flowers or vegetables an even more enjoyable experience.

This course is ideal if you’ve made a few baskets or more and are wanting to develop your skills as a basket maker.

Over the two days you will weave either a round or oval base suitable for a flower collecting or for allotment/garden produce. We will start the first day with choices and options depending on your skill level and what you’d like to use your basket for.

You’ll learn new techniques and skills to develop your basket making skills using the finest English Willows you will work on at least three different types of weaving over the course to create a beautiful and instantly useful collecting basket.

The willows tea and coffee shop on the ground floor of the building will be open during the course serving the finest ethical rainforest alliance coffee and teas, award-winning cakes and simple savouries.

Notes:

Prior experience needed, you must have good mobility in hands & feet & be able to stand whilst working.

Please wear old (non dangly) clothes, covered toe shoes (no sandals) & little or no jewellry.
