Willow Weaving Techniques 1 day course with Joe Gregory – Saturday 28th June 2025

Time: 10am-4.30pm price: £95

There as so many techniques and materials you can use to weave. I’m looking forward to a day showing you just some of the possibilities.

Over the day you will learn weaving techniques to create a number of small pieces that on their own will look beautiful and will add interest to a wall, a shelf, a quiet spot. But they will also create a body of work to develop you weaving skills that can be used in a number of different outlets, for example floristry, forest schools, any creatives, educators with an interest in using natural materials in your work.

You will have access to a range of Willows, bark, Fresh Water Rush and other foraged materials I will gather for the day.

I’ve been developing this idea for a while and I think it will appeal to those who love to tinker and work on a number of smaller items.

Come alone and meet other crafty folk or come with a friend or two for a special day together.

The willows tea and coffee house on the ground floor of the building will be open during the course for the finest ethical rainforest alliance coffee, teas, award-winning cakes and simple savouries.

Notes:

No prior experience needed but you must have good mobility in hands & feet & be able to stand whilst working.

Please wear old (non dangly) clothes, covered toe shoes (no sandals) & little or no jewellry.

Level- beginner/ intermediate
