Willow Wall Basket/Pouch 2 Day Course (intermediate level) – Sat 22nd & Sun 23rd October

Time: 10:00 – 4:30. Price: £85-£190

Learn how to make a wall hanging basket/pouch made from beautiful willow & incorporating driftwood

Day 1- an interesting basket to set up & gain control of the bottom. We will complete about 1/3 to 1/2 of the basket in day 1 focusing on gaining control/spacing of the uprights, compacting the weave & forming the pocket

Day 2- continued weaving & shaping, bordering & selecting/ incorporating the driftwood handle.

If time allows & you weave quickly/effectively we may also look at exploring a simple pod basket which may be finished at home.

Suitable for those who have already worked with willow before (preferably done at least 1 round basket) have some degree of confidence & competence using basic tools

Notes-

• this course is quite physical & requires a lot of manipulating of the basket & weaving at weird angles. A good degree of manual dexterity is needed
