Oval Gardening/Collecting Basket Course with Joe Gregory – Saturday 13th and Sunday 14th September 2025

Time: 10.00am-4.30pm price: £190

This course is suitable for beginners and intermediate weavers. Over the two days you will learn to weave an oval base, use traditional English basketry skills and learn different techniques for handle making.

Using the finest English Willows you will work on at least three different types of weaving over the course to create a handsome and instantly useful collection basket, ideal for use in the garden and allotment.

The willows tea and coffee shop on the ground floor of the building will be open during the course serving the finest ethical rainforest alliance coffee and teas, award-winning cakes and simple savouries.

Notes:

No prior experience needed but you must have good mobility in hands & feet & be able to stand whilst working.

Please wear old (non dangly) clothes, covered toe shoes (no sandals) & little or no jewellry.
