“Hello I’m Anthea Thornber the Course Tutor.
I have a garden nestled in the hills of the Pennines providing a beautiful natural habitat for wildlife and a peaceful space. I open my garden to the public throughout the year and grow flowers which I cut and dry for workshops. You can find me on Instagram @thesecretgarden.yorkshire and on Facebook The Secret Garden”
You will be spending a few hours learn to weave creating a sustainable dried flower wreath, a lovely treat to adorn your home or a gift for someone else. Using a traditional willow weaving method, you will create a wreath up to 12inches wide. This season’s dried flowers and foliage will be introduced to you along with some tips and techniques Anthea has picked up over the years of making wreaths.
We aim to be eco caring in our methods and materials and it’s an opportunity to learn about alternatives to more commonly used materials that may be harmful to our planet. With wreaths the possibilities are endless, so come and enjoy exploring what’s possible. All materials and tools are provided.
