Berry Picking Basket 1 Day Course with Joe Gregory – 27th September

These small traditional round berry picking baskets are ideal to make over a day. Suitable for beginners and those with some weaving experience. You will learn traditional basketry techniques to make this seasonal basket.

Based on a simple traditional foraging or collecting basket, these traditionally would have been made in the home or on the move for small collecting berrries, eggs, herbs etc. Quick and relatively easy to make many people living agriculturaly or nomadically would have had the skills to make these or something similar for their everyday needs. I love these little baskets connecting us to a simpler time, seasonal and more connected to the land.

Notes:

No prior experience needed but you must have good mobility in hands & feet & be able to stand whilst working.

Please wear old (non dangly) clothes, covered toe shoes (no sandals) & little or no jewellry.
